Mariela S. Educational Coordinator

Mariela began her career in Education in 2018 while pursing a degree in Psychology. She has experience working with children ages three months to five years of age. During her time as a Teacher she realized that teaching is where her heart is, which led her to getting a Masters of Arts in Teaching with a concentration in Early Childhood Education in 2025. Mariela enjoys spending free time with loved ones, specifically her siblings and parents. She also enjoys going on walks, going to the gym, reading books and exploring the city.

Karen A. Food Service Coordinator

Karen has worked at Kidwatch since 2001 and was promoted in 2016 to Food Service Coordinator. Karen currently holds a Food Sanitation License from the State of Illinois and a Food Sanitation Certificate from the City of Chicago. Karen is involved in all aspects of the children's health and nutrition at Kidwatch Plus. Karen is the proud mother of two and likes to grocery shop and watch movies.
